2 Corinthians, 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Lately, I have been seeing things in an entirely different way. I'm not sure why.
It's funny because I have noticed everything in a different light, so to speak.
I feel as though I am lucky to be alive. Lucky to be a part of the wonderful world
that God has given us. Even with all of the negative things happening in this day and age,
every single day I feel blessed and thankful. I know I sound like I am losing my mind or something, but something has changed in me. I think that it started as a small spark or flicker, and has grown to a bright glowing flame in my heart.
People have been questioning me, asking me why I have changed things about myself,
such as why I have no desire to listen to regular rock music, why I don't want to
drink alcohol, etc.
My answer is this: I was trying to fill an emptiness in me. An emptiness
that could only be filled by letting God in completely.
He is in my life, and in my heart. No matter what is happening in my life, he is there.
I have realized that I need to cast my cares on the Lord and
let him walk with me in my life.
If I have a problem, I will not turn to alcohol. I will try my hardest not to be angry
with others. Or jealous. I will pray if I have any of these feelings.
He is there through the good times and the bad times.
He never ever leaves my side.
A favorite quote that I love is this: If God leads you to it, He will lead you through it.
I will let God lead me and
As a side note, I would just like to say that this is my life that I
am talking about, and My realization about God in my life.
I am in no way trying to force anyone to feel the same way that I do, although
I do hope that maybe my "story" will inspire others to seek God in their lives, and
in their own way. :)
