Thankful Thursday

I am Thankful for my husband, who works hard to

support my children & myself. A man who cares about others,

and will help you out whenever he can. I love every single thing

about him. As the years pass by, I love him even more.

He is an amazing husband, a wonderful father, and a great friend.

I am so thankful that God gave me such a wonderful man.

I am so Thankful for:

~ My amazing husband.

~My wonderful children.

~ My caring mother.

~My sister.

~My brother.

~My entire family.

~ A warm, dry place to live.

~ A car that runs.

~ Nick having a good job.

~ The kids have a great school district to go to.

~ All of us having our health.

I just want to say that I am SO thankful for my children.

I am trying to raise them to be strong, caring people who know and love the Lord.

I am so Thankful for Family.

What a great gift God has given to me.

I have my husband and two children.

My Mom & Step dad.

(Although my biological father is no longer alive, I am thankful for the 12 years that God gave me with him.)

I have my sister & her family, and my brother and his.

I also have 3 step brothers.

Then I have my married family. I could not ask for a better family to be a part of.

They are warm & loving, and truly care about others.

I really feel blessed by God to have all of these people in my life.

With the nice, cool, Fall weather outside, I thought I would post what I

am thankful for about this wonderful time of year.

Cool temperatures during the day and at night.

Perfect for cuddling up in a blanket next to a campfire.

The smell of fresh sweet apples, the aroma of spicy hot pumpkin pie,

and even just the air outside in the fall smells good.

The colors! How amazing and breathtaking! Anyone can see the amazing

gift that God has given us in the fall. Bright reds, vivid yellows, burning oranges....

There are so many foods that go hand in hand with fall.

Apple cider, Pumpkin pie, apple crisp,

a steaming bowl of Beef stew, spicy chili and lets not forget caramel apples! YUM!

And we can't talk about things that we are thankful for in the fall, without mentioning all of the fun fall activities. Corn mazes, hay rides, picking out a pumpkin, even playing in the leaves. (It doesn't matter how old you are... you know it's still fun!)

This Sunday is Mothers day.

I am very thankful for my Mom & Mother in law (Helen).

They are both Strong, caring, wonderful women.

They both show God's love & grace to the world.

I don't know where I would be today if it weren't for these two wonderful women.

This week's letter is "F".

I am thankful for Family.

My entire family. My father in heaven. Nick and the kids.

My mom (one of my best friends!) & Stepdad.

My sister (who is also one of my best friends) and her husband & kids.

My brother, his wife & kids.

My Mother & Father in law, brother & sister in laws.

Cousins, Aunts, Grandparents, and my church family.

(I just have to say as a quick side note in addition to this week's Thankful

Thursday: How awesome is that? How awesome is our God? HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER! I don't know about you, but I find those words

so inspiring, so comforting and so completely awesome.)

So, we are making our way through the alphabet of things that we are thankful for. This weeks letter is "E".

I am thankful for ears to hear & eyes to see.

God has blessed us with so many wonderful sights and sounds that most of us take for granted. The sound of our children laughing. Our loved ones talking. Listening to Music. Birds singing. Then think of the wonderful sights. Our children & families. Sunsets and sunrises. The mountains, the shore.

So many wonderful gifts from the Lord, and we are able to enjoy them with our eyes and ears.

This week's Thankful Thursday Letter is "D".

When I think of the letter D, and what I am thankful for,

it reminds me of the word "Dad".

First and Foremost, I am thankful for my "Dad", the Lord.

I can't wait for the day when I am in heaven with God, my father.

I am thankful for the time that I had with my birth dad.

He died when I was 12, and I still miss him. He will always have a place

in my heart. (pictured below)

I am thankful for Bupp, my step dad.

He took care of us, and still cares for us as if

we were his very own children. He is the only grandfather

(on my side) that my children have ever known, and they love him deeply.

I am thankful for Nick, my children's dad.

He works hard to provide a home &

other things that our children need.

He is a wonderful father (& husband!)

I am thankful for "Dad A." (haha, That's what I call him.)

He is my father in law. He is a great dad & Grandfather.

He had to have been a wonderful father to Nick growing up,

or Nick wouldn't have turned out as great as he did.

So, basically, for my D, I am thankful to God for all of the "Dads" In my life.

I am thankful for my children.

God has truly blessed me. I have two beautiful children.

I pray every single day that God will help me teach and guide them, and raise them

to know him.

alphabet, of things that we are thankful for. This week's letter is

B

So, I am thankful to God for my beautiful, smart, sweet little girl,

Brittany!

God has truly blessed me with this little angel.

So, for the next 26 weeks, our Thankful Thursday will be a bit different.

We are going to work our way through the alphabet.

Each Thursday will be a new letter to find something to be thankful for.

So let's begin.

This week's letter is A.

Some of these may be silly. :)

But, there are many things to be thankful for, no matter how

silly or simple they may be.

I'm thankful for my arms.

(without them I could not give hugs!)

Thankful Thursday

First of all, I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I'm not sure if we're keeping Thankful Thursday after this week, or going

back to Thursday thoughts. I have to discuss it with Rachael.

Anyway, here are my seven things that I am thankful for.

1. I am thankful that Nick has a good job, to keep a roof over our heads and food on our table.

2. I am thankful that there are schools to educate our children.

3. I am thankful for farmers, providing fruit, vegetables, milk, meat, etc.

4. I am thankful that we have a nice car with no problems.

5. I am thankful for My mom and step dad for cooking our wonderful thanksgiving meal,

and for so many other reasons.

6. I am thankful for my wonderful husband. He is always willing to help anyone out, he

is a very loving husband and father as well.

7. I am thankful for my children and I pray every day that I am raising them right.

There you have it- my thankful thoughts for this week.

It's time once again for Thankful Thursday.
When I look around at my life, I can find so many things
to be thankful for. I have many blessings in my life.
I want to make sure that I don't list the same seven things each week, as that
would be very easy to do. :)

1. I am thankful for laughter and smiles.
I love to smile and laugh. I love to hear others laugh.

Happiness is the best medicine.
2. I am thankful for warm sunshine on a cool day.
There's nothing better than feeling a soft breeze on your face
and then as the breeze dies down, feeling the gentle warmth from the sun.
3. I am thankful for snow.
I absolutely love watching the snow fall gently to the ground.

Did you ever notice, that when you go outside when it is snowing,

it seems completely silent?
4. I am thankful for sleep.

I love snuggling with Nick down under our blanket, laying my head on my soft pillow

saying my prayers and drifting off to sleep.
Can you imagine what we would be like if we were unable to recharge at night?
5. I am thankful for music.

It can go along with our mood, or change our mood.

Music is such a great gift from God.
6. I am thankful for Sunrises and Sunsets.
They are almost beautiful enough to take your breath away.
7. I am thankful for God, my children, my husband and my family.
(I know that was already mentioned last week, but it's so hard to leave them out!)

There's so much to be Thankful for.
