Sticker ocean

Easy craft to tie up our 3 days at the beach!
Blue paper with ocean stickers! She loved this. She told everyone it was her ocean.

Beach Discovery Bottle

Before our trip to the beach, I wanted to teach her a bit about it first.
We did several different activities to learn about the beach.
This is a beach discovery bottle made from a smart water bottle.
Inside is sand, mini shells, oil (baby oil would be best because it is clear - but we were out), blue water & glitter. Then I super glued the lid on and put stickers on the outside. super easy and
she loved it!

Beach sensory tray

Before we went to the beach, I wanted to try to show her a bit about it first.
One of the things we did was play with homemade moon sand & shells, and we read
the book, There was an old lady who swallowed a shell.

Homemade moon sand.
1cup play sand, 1/2 cup cornstarch & 1/4 cup water.
Mix well & add shells.

Beach Bath in March!

This cold weather is really putting us in the mood for
a nice, warm beach day!! We found a way to bring the beach to us!
I painted a sun and beach ball on the wall, turned the heat up in the
bathroom a bit, dug out her bathing suit, beach toys and the fun began.
I made "Beach Goop" by mixing water with baking soda, Epsom salt, food color
and shaving cream. Then filled it with just enough water and coloring for the water to reach the 'beach'. This was one of her favorite baths!!
